DIY holographic stickers

Testing out these new rainbow holographic vinyl sheets from Amazon - notice how the colour intensity changes under different light sources:

🌙 Without light, they are just a silver coloured sticker paper

☀️ Under natural sunlight, it reflects pastel-like colours depending on the angle and light

💡 Under LED or household lighting, you can see this vibrant, almost florescent-coloured rainbow

I find these paper work best with graphics with simple lines and minimal colour combinations. So today I'm printing some logo-type designs that focus on simple lines and no more than 3-4 colours. Remember to allow time for the ink to dry completely.

I've printed some blank border stickers so that I can write/draw in them later - using my STAEDTLER pigment liner which works well with no fading/smudging.

Materials used:

  • Holographic effect sticker paper* - Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089D7PLGZ)

  • Epson WF-100 printer (with pigment ink)

  • Cricut Explore Air (here I used "Sticker Paper (+)" to cut)

  • STAEDTLER pigment liner 0.3-2.0cm

*Note: these vinyl sticker paper are not A4-sized (they are wider but shorter), so you may have to make adjustments for your printer
