2.5-month Cross Stitch project

I was still a teenager when I did my last (first) cross stitch project - a gift for a substitute art teacher. This time, I'm making a customised piece featuring the work of one of my favourite illustrators, b.wing.

Bought the "Create Your Own Cross Stitch Kit" 40x50cm/11CT from Hobbyart.uk, the kit comes with a printed pattern of an image of your choice, and all the necessary embroidery threads and needles to complete your piece. The pattern is printed in water-soluble ink so soaking the final work in water for a few hours will remove all the pre-printed patterns - very cool!

Materials used:

  • Fabric and threads (bought as a kit from Hobbyart.uk)

  • Embroidery needle (bought from Amazon)

  • 40x50cm frame (bought from Poundland)
